From Aging in Place to Aging in Community with Dr. Sara Zeff Geber

As the number of individuals aging without the immediate support of children increases, the old paradigm of “aging in place” becomes inadequate and, often, dangerous. Dr. Zeff Geber explores the necessary shift in perspective from relying solely on home-based care to proactively building robust, intentional communities.

Dr. Sara Zeff Geber will address the emotional and logistical challenges faced by solo agers and the Childfree community, outlining the strategies, resources, and social structures required to ensure safety, engagement, and dignity in later life. She’ll outline the community living options that are growing traction, propose resources for building a professional team, and encourage the audience to create resilient communal living models.
