Whose Footsteps? Building Your Childfree Bench

Many of our parents chose not to complete their necessary financial or estate planning, avoiding uncomfortable conversations out of fear or confusion. As adult children, we often inherit that exact legacy of silence, anxiety, and procrastination around money.

And if we do try to plan, we usually default to our parents’ traditional advisors—professionals who spend our meetings asking about nieces, nephews, or assuming we will eventually change our minds.

If you are Childfree, following in those footsteps is a trap.

Traditional planning relies on adult children to act as a safety net. Without kids, the standard system breaks down, leaving you in a “decision void” about who should manage your future.

It’s time to break the generational mold.
